Pack Carriers (aka Soft Structured Carriers or Backpack Baby Carriers)
Pack carriers are the most structured and supportive design
of baby carrier. Inspired by hiking
backpacks, they feature padded shoulder straps and stiff waist/hip belts,
adjustable nylon straps, and lots of buckles.
Dads love these!
Because of the structured design, and the ability to
transfer a lot of the child’s weight to the hips, these are among the most
comfortable carriers with even the heaviest of children.
- Ages: Newborn (with
insert) through preschooler
- Weight limit: Up to 55
lbs
- Positions: Excellent
for front and back carries; Can also be used for hip carries.

useful accessories are available

the weight of the heaviest little ones very well

as a baby backpack carrier. Can
also be used on the hip

Limitations:
- Fairly bulky, won’t fit in most diaper bags

ERGO Baby Carriers
|
 |
|
|
|
The ERGO Baby Carrier's ergonomic design supports a correct sitting position for the baby's hip, pelvis and spine growth. It disperses most of the baby's weight between the hips and thighs, which helps to eliminate compression of the spine when hanging by the crotch which most other designs require. The ERGO also balances the baby's weight to parents' hips and shoulders, and alleviates physical stress for the parent. At infancy, The ERGO with the Infant Insert, supports your newborn like a baby sling while having both hands free to work. It can be worn on the front, as a backback baby carrier, or as a hip carrier.
