About the BabyHawk Mei TaiBabyHawk Mei Tais are custom designed carriers for the style conscious parent. Their Mei Tai's (Asian Baby Carriers) are adopted from a Chinese-inspired idea that makes holding your little lovely on your front, back or hip as safe as it is comfortable. The weight distribution of their MT's makes wearing you baby more cozy and delightful than you can imagine for longer than you can imagine! Our design is simple, so putting on or taking off your Mei Tai is quick and easy.
BabyHawk Mei Tai's are comfortable, sure, but they are above all safe and reliable. All of the fabrics used arepre-washed and dired to prevent shrinkage. The straps are 70 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. The bottom strap is one continuous piece of fabric, which offers the most durable and safest support for your baby. The body measures 16.5" by 18.5" for the regular. There's an optional fold-down headrest available that adds an extra 3 inches to the body height. The top straps are padded as well as the headrest to offer the most comfortable walk for mom and a safe, smooth ride for baby.
We believe that carrying your baby is the best way to raise a healthy and happy child. We also believe that you have a right to be comfortable while doing so. Free to laugh with baby and run from place to place without wondering when will you be able to take this thing off! You have enough stress on your mind, why share it with your body? A BabyHawk Mei Tai lets you free up your hands while staying close with the little one who needs you most.
The BabyHawk HeadrestWe have two options for BabyHawk carriers: You can have the regular body
(16.5 wide x 18.5 tall), or you can order a BabyHawk with an optional
headrest.
The headrest can be used up or down. When the headrest is up, the
carrier is approximately 3" taller than the regular body size. Many people prefer to
have this option for their baby. I suggest choosing the headrest if you
plan on using your BabyHawk with a newborn or if you like having your
baby sleep on your back often -- it will give him proper head support. Most
older babies would rather be able to see out easily and have their arms
out of the top of the carrier, which is easily done in the regular body
size.
